Blow to Sarkozy as Hollande wins 1st round, sets up run-off
Nicolas Sarkozy and socialist challenger Francois Hollande, will go head-to-head in the second round of the French Presidential election, in two weeks’ time. Results from the first round show Hollande won 28 point 6 percent of the vote, against Sarkozy’s 27. It’s the first time a French president seeking re-election has failed to win the first round, for more than half a century. RT’s Tesa Arcilla reports from Paris.
