Philippines fights flooding with recycling
The rainy season has begun in the Philippines. Every year floods kill hundreds of people across the Philippines during the rainy season, partly because rubbish and waste clogs waterways and sewers. Now one environmental group is teaching people to recycle plastic as useful products in an effort to reduce the amount of waste. Al Jazeera’s Marga Ortigas reports from the Philippines.
